Choirs

A Year 3/4 choir is run in Terms 3 & 4. It is inclusive and open to all Mainstream students. The choir aims to develop student’s vocal skills to a more advanced level than the regular classroom program, offering extension for students with a strong interest in ensemble singing and incorporating a range of musical genres with opportunities to perform at school events and assemblies.

All Year 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to participate in the Festival of Music Choir. The Festival of Music is a South Australian institution spanning more than 120 years. From this students have the opportunity to audition for the SAPPS Choir as well as various groups associated with this event.

This choir runs from Term 1 – end of Term 3, culminating in a combined-schools performance at the Adelaide Festival Theatre involving around 140 schools across the state. Students learn songs from a selected, varied repertoire with advanced choral skills. The choir also performs at school events as part of their practice throughout the year. 

Percussion Group

A percussion group is run which is open to all Mainstream students in the Upper Primary school. Students of all abilities are able to participate in this group learning songs with multiple parts including, rhythm section, melody and harmony. Students get to use a range of instruments such as Xylophones, Metallophones, Steel Drum, Joia Tubes, and Synthesizer. 

Instrumental Tuition

Trinity Gardens School offers instrumental tuition from private providers offering tuition on-site in piano and violin. The school also offers Classical Guitar tuition through the Department for Education Instrumental Music department. Please see the School Office staff to access the tuition information.
